Making sense of Microsoft's courses on Power BI

Microsoft’s courses about Power BI are multiplying at a bewildering rate and it is increasingly hard for prospective students to work out which one is appropriate for them. I have made a quick video here that breaks them down by content and level of experience.

The video describes ten courses. There is in fact an eleventh, the DP-500, with the rather unwieldly title ‘Designing and Implementing Enterprise-Scale Analytics Solutions Using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Power BI’.  This is an advanced 4-day course on creating Power BI reports but from a more corporate point of view that also deals with data governance. This would be appropriate to a senior role such as Head of Analytics or even Chief Information Officer. I haven’t included it here on the grounds that if it is appropriate to you, then you probably know so much about Power BI that you know about it already.

Here is the video. You will need to turn sound on. The final graphic is repeated underneath.

Here is the graphic that we end up with at the end of the video, for reference. Please feel free to download and circulate the graphic on condition that you leave the logo in place.
