Online Productivity Training Ltd (OP-Training) works with managers, analysts, administrators and directors of organisations in Europe, the Middle East and North and East Africa.
We focus on Microsoft applications, particularly Power BI and applications in the field of analytics.
OP-Training is an environmentally responsible organisation. To help to address the climate crisis we prefer to deliver courses online because this minimises the need for travel and keeps carbon emissions to a minimum. For the type of technical courses that we teach, online delivery has little impact because participants do not need to have group discussions standing around flipcharts. For courses on data visualisation (e.g. Power BI and Tableau) online study has the advantage that the student’s computer can be connected to a large external monitor rather than the student having to work on a small laptop screen in the classroom.
Our registered office is in North Wales in the UK quite close to the beautiful mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia).
OP-Training is run by Gideon Mitchell, who started his career as a management consultant working at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants in their London office. His early projects included:
More recently his consulting work has included creating forecasting models using VBA for a national UK newspaper and projects for various clients developing Power BI reports to inform decision making, based on live data.
Gideon’s first teaching job was in 1993 teaching the applied mathematics course ‘Mathematics for Decision Making’ at Ithaca College London Center but, starting in 2008, he learned the art of writing and delivering short, interactive courses at Learning Tree International, one of the most prestigious training organisations in the world and added skills as an online trainer on Learning Tree’s pioneering AnyWare platform around 2015.
Gideon is a Microsoft Certified Trainer, which gives him the right to teach official Microsoft Courseware, such as the PL-300 course on Power BI. Gideon’s training work continues to be for Learning Tree. He undertakes consulting projects direct through OP-Training.
When Gideon is not teaching courses himself, through OP-Training he employs other highly experienced trainers who are all Microsoft Certified and have extensive experience teaching online.
